Autumn always comes too fast for me. I am still in summer mood, not yet ready for the dark and wet nights and the cold days. During my garden walk today I suddenly realized that I am too late to harvest the lavenders. Searching among all my bushes I managed to gather one bouquet, which now hangs in my kitchen.
You have gathered a wonderful dark blue lavender sort for your kitchen. Autumn has really arrived in our country... with snow in the mountains. But in my garden there are still some lavender bushes which should be cut too.
So pretty, Britt! I love to gather shrubs, wild flowers, twigs to bring home and put them in vases...like them better than elaborate flower arrangements!
I am so glad I stumbled to your gardening blog! :-)
I live in Trondheim, Norway with my husband and two daughters. Two boys have moved out to create their own homes. I work full time, and have alot of interests, but there is hardly a day when you don't find me in the kitchen, playing with old and new recipes. And if I am not to be find it the kitchen, take a look in The Blue Garden. I am a member of the Slow Food movement and a supporter of the Slower Life. You can contact me at: knitwoman1958@yahoo.com
