Time to move

Frost is just around the corner. This morning there were some snow flakes in the air, though now the sun is shining and I plan to go out and do some garden work.

Many plants are moved indoors now. I have undressed them from dry leaves and carried them down to a couple of cold rooms in the basement where they will spend their winter sleep.

Hi Britt-Arnhild, you are back from the South and already planing for the Northern winter! It is good, so you won't be in stress when it is really snowing! I hope to keep my plants outside until beginning of November, but one never knows. Besides, do you mind if I link your blog to mine?
Have a "warm" autumn day! Barbara

Because we were supposed to have a windstorm, I moved all my smaller pots into the tiny window greenhouse. I try to winter over the geraniums and some years sit works and others it doesn't. I have one huge pot that holds 4 plants and we move it over next to the house to protect it. There is a feeling of "getting ready" for winter, isn't there?
