After work and dinner yesterday both Terje and I was eager to put our garden boots on and start the work. Raking the wet moss, gave life the most aromatic smell of spring. Dirt under my nails is natures best nail polish.
And after a couple of work hours, what can be better than a cup of coffee and a piece of cake on the porch!

Dirty, chipped nails...the sign of a true gardener--LOL! Funny how cleaning the house can be a real chore sometimes, but with garden clean up we feel we're helping to transform something, reawaken something...Many are the myseteries & joys of gardening. Happy Days! :o)
Congratulation on the opening of your new garden blog Britt!
Such a feeling of spring to dig around and see what's peeking up! If you drag your fingernails along a bar of soap, building up a layer of soap under them, when you garden the dirt doesn't accumulate there. You just wash away the soap when you're through. I know this hint, but I seldom remember to do it until I already have dirt under my fingernails. LOL
Tracy - you are so rigbht. My house really needs some spring cleaning, but do I do any of it?.....
Carol - thanks. Your garden blog is of great inspiration.
Ardi - thanks for the info. I don't mind soil under my nails though :-)
i think i would skip the work and just go straight to the cake and coffee. :)
oooh, I just love the stone! This will become more and more lovely as the season progresses, I can just see it. And it will be fun to watch! Thanks for taking us along on your new garden blog.
